PKF hotelexperts, one of the leading global hotel & tourism consultancies with head office in Vienna and 11 country offices on five continents, recently assisted the Jit Group of Nairobi with its negotiations with AccorHotels, a world-leading hospitality group.
The resulting partnership will see the Q1 of 2021 opening of a premium design-led boutique hotel located in the city’s affluent diplomatic district, close to the United Nations’ Africa headquarters, major NGOs and international embassies.
Jigar Patel of Jit Group added: “Gigiri is the jewel in Nairobi’s crown and by collaborating with AccorHotels to launch Kenya’s first MGallery our vision is to create a sought-after business and leisure destination with a boutique flavour for visitors and residents with discerning tastes. We thank PKF hotelexperts for the role they played in assisting us to reach this stage with our first hotel project. Their intimate industry knowledge and global experience certainly made the process a lot smoother for us!”
MGallery Gigiri will feature 105 rooms and suites; four restaurants, including an all-day dining venue, a signature dining experience, a pool bar, and a rooftop restaurant and bar; meeting rooms and a business centre; and wellness facilities spanning a gym, pool and spa. Creative design and architecture studio Sundukovy Sisters found inspiration in the Jit Group’s renowned jewel, gemstone and precious metal business.
“We are proud that we could add value to the process of securing a great agreement with AccorHotels for the JIT Group!” says Nils Heckscher, PKFhotelexperts’ Head of Africa. MD Christian Walter adds: ”Our worldwide experience in negotiating on behalf of hotel owners combined with a can-do attitude, that aims to align everybody’s interests, has made this conclusion possible. We look forward to sharing our expertise with more African owners and developers.”
